Work Sanction Hours and Locations

Overview

Students who have been found responsible for violating the Code of Conduct may be assigned work sanction hours. These hours are assigned supervised work in University programs, offices, buildings, residence halls, or off-campus programs. All work sanction locations must be identified by the Office of Student Conduct.

Submitting Your Hours

In order to submit your work sanction hours, you must complete the Work Sanction Hours Supervision Form attached to your disciplinary email from The Office of Student Conduct. This form must be authenticated by the staff person who supervised your work. Their Signature must appear on your “Work Sanction Form” which must be turned into the Office of Student Conduct. Offices are to only be contacted during regular business hours (9am-5pm Mon.-Fri.). You do not have to complete all assigned hours at one location. 

Our office will also accept emails from the supervisor of the office where you completed your hours. In this email, please include the name of the student, where the hours were completed, the amount of hours that were completed and the date of the work.

Deadlines for Submitting Hours

You may ask the Office of Student Conduct for a one-time extension in order to complete your hours. If the hours are not completed by your second deadline, your sanctions will be doubled and a new deadline for the hours will be assigned. Failure to complete the doubled hours by this deadline may result in the student being placed on Disciplinary Probation along with the revocation of the student’s Senior Week participation privileges until the sanction is completed.
